An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
