The artist has given the full amount of his £25k honor cash to the trust for venues, which operates to protect the Britain's independent concert spaces.

He was given the award on October 16 as his latest record People Watching was declared the top album of the last 12 months.

The musician has decided to donate the funds to the MVT, in acknowledgment of the crucial part small stages played in his early career.

"I wouldn't be doing this success if it hadn't been for all the performances I performed around the region, and elsewhere, when I was beginning," stated the artist. "These locations are renowned, but they are struggling."

Since the start of 2023, more than 150 of these locations have shut down – about 16% of the whole industry in the UK.

Recently, well-known musicians like Pulp, the group Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the MVT in its initiatives to support the industry, by adding a small levy to their admission fees, which benefits independent venues.

He also took part, collecting in excess of £100,000 on his 2024 arena tour to support numerous grassroots venues across England, Scotland, and Wales.

These funds helped venues that were facing potential shutdown due to issues caused by flooding, blazes and bereavements, as well as regulatory hurdles, court cases and neighbor objections.

Additional spaces obtained financial assistance in modernizing facilities and sound and lighting systems that directly benefitted musicians and audiences.

"The notion that revenue from concerts in large arenas helps the local stages, where it all starts for artists like me, is just common sense," Sam Fender has stated.

"Additionally, I gave a thousand pounds to the center, to their gymnastics program, because I trained in gymnastics when I was growing up and they lacked new equipment," Ms Dynamite shared with outlets.

Two years ago, the band contributed their funds to the youth organization that supported their act, as well as other grassroots music organisations.

Additionally the 1994 recipients they contributed their prize to a MS organization after a close contact was diagnosed the condition.

"Winning was ample," said artist Heather Small. "The cash was the extra but we could do without the bonus, because we had the honor. So our success affected another person's life."

Recently, the MVT revealed it had protected a couple of grassroots venues in south-east England, by placing them under community ownership.

The Joiners in Southampton and the other in the city were acquired under the Own Our Venues program, which is funded by the arts council and music fans who acquire "shares" in the venues.
